Training and Showing

Top Notch Training and Instruction – At Four Seasons Farm, we approach the horse with its best interest in mind. We strive to create quality movement and jumping style while keeping the horse happy and comfortable with its job. All the Four Seasons Farm clients and their horses are part of our Hunter/Jumper training program. We tailor each program to suit the individual needs of the horse and/or rider. We offer lessons and riding as often as needed, and we keep open lines of communication with each student.

Showing At All Levels – We show at several levels, and we create individually-tailored programs to meet the needs and goals of each rider and horse. We compete at 1-2 USEF ‘A’ and ‘AA’ rated shows each month, and we complete on the local level with Georgia Hunter Jumper Association shows.

Starting Young horses and Reschooling – We offer caring and considerate starting, training, reschooling, and conditioning. We work toward stabilization as the first step in all of our training. We believe teaching a horse self carriage allows them to work through their bodies properly and creates better quality of movement and jumping style. Our horses are happy with their jobs and approach their work quietly and confidently.

 

Kat DeMas Mulkey brings over 23 years of professional experience in the horse industry to her teaching. She loves working with kids and ponies as well as junior and adult amateur riders. Many of her students have captured Championships, Year End titles, and National recognition at all levels. From 1994 to 1999, she was the coach of the University of Georgia Equestrian Team, leading them to several regional and national titles. For a complete resume on Kat, please see the link below.
